AI software for nutritionists: tailored plans, human decision
A nutrition practice wanted to build truly personalised meal plans by combining medical history, nutrigenomic profile and nutraceutical guidance, without turning the nutritionist into a form-filler. We built a platform that prepares the proposal, always leaving the final word to the professional.

The challenge
Building a genuinely personalised meal plan means cross-referencing information that usually lives on separate sheets: the patient's medical history, their nutrigenomic test results, any nutraceutical guidance already in use, and specific goals. Doing this by hand for every patient is slow and makes it hard to grow the practice without hiring more staff.
The team asked us for a tool that would speed up plan preparation without touching the nutritionist's clinical responsibility, who has to remain the only one validating the final proposal.
What we built
- Structured intake: a digital questionnaire the patient fills in before the appointment, with the data flowing automatically into the system.
- Reading the nutrigenomic profile: the system cross-references relevant genetic markers (fat and carbohydrate metabolism, sensitivity to specific nutrients) with the clinical guidelines the practice follows.
- Nutraceutical suggestions: it proposes supplementation consistent with history and profile, always flagged as a hypothesis to validate, never as an automatic prescription.
- A reasoned draft plan: the nutritionist receives an already structured proposal, with the reasoning behind each choice, and personalises it before handing it over: the system shortens preparation, the decision stays clinical and human.
We start with a free pre-analysis
The first step was a pre-analysis of an anonymised sample of the practice's real cases, delivered at no cost: that is how we assessed the project's feasibility and scope. The prototype and integration with the tools the practice already used and its patient records were then built as a later, paid phase, priced according to the project's complexity.
The result
The practice now prepares meal plans in a fraction of the previous time, with the nutritionist spending the time saved on the clinical conversation instead of manual data entry. Every plan still goes through review, correction where needed, and the professional's sign-off before reaching the patient.
Who we'd recommend it to
- Nutrition practices that already offer nutrigenomic testing and want to use it systematically in their plans.
- Professionals who want to see more patients without losing clinical quality.
- Anyone looking for a decision-support tool, not a substitute for professional judgement.
