What this self-assessment checks

In five minutes the AI Act self-assessment checks the points that matter to most companies using artificial intelligence: the inventory of AI tools, staff training (Article 4), transparency of chatbots and generated content (Article 50), any use in high-risk areas (Annex III), prohibited practices (Article 5) and the Italian obligations of Law 132/2025 towards employees and clients.

You receive the report by email. If you like, we can go through it together in the free pre-analysis call: we identify the processes where AI brings a concrete benefit and how to introduce it within the rules. For full compliance there is our AI Act Governance service; for the training obligation, the Academy. More in the guide on AI Act obligations for SMEs.

Frequently asked questions

Q.1How long does the AI Act self-assessment take?

About five minutes: 14 multiple-choice questions on AI use, training, transparency, high-risk areas and Italian Law 132/2025.

Q.2What does the report include?

Your company's readiness level, the actions to take in order of priority with the legal reference, the key dates updated for the Digital Omnibus and a summary of your answers.

Q.3Does the AI Act apply if we only use ChatGPT or Copilot?

Yes. Companies that use AI systems are "deployers": since 2 February 2025 they must take measures for their staff's AI literacy, and since 2 August 2026 the transparency obligations apply if, for example, they publish deepfakes or use chatbots with the public.

Q.4What did the Digital Omnibus change?

Regulation (EU) 2026/1744, in force since 27 July 2026, moved the obligations for Annex III high-risk systems to 2 December 2027 and for Annex I to 2 August 2028, turned AI literacy into an obligation of means rather than result, and extended some simplifications to small mid-caps. The Article 50 transparency obligations stayed at 2 August 2026.

Q.5Does the self-assessment replace legal advice?

No: it is a guidance tool to see where to act. For a full assessment we start with the free pre-analysis call.

Not sure where to start?

The pre-analysis call is free: together we identify the processes where AI can be integrated with a concrete benefit, and where to begin.
